I received this message from Rocklin, CA native Adam Wilson:
“Hello, So I work as a custodian in Rocklin CA and I was just in Historic City Hall and had a really weird experience so I got out asap and looked into the history of the building and came across an article you wrote (can’t find it again) about coming out here and people reporting ghosts, it said you came to this location but didn’t say if you picked up on anything here. I was wondering if you did?

Adam, here is my report about the Historic City Hall in Rocklin, CA.
Historic City Hall (3980 Rocklin Road) was the City of Rocklin’s first center of city business and municipal meetings. Adolf Pernu, owner of Rocklin’s early 20th Century California Granite Company, built the City Hall in 1912 as a company store for his employees. The 1912 date is inscribed in a granite frontispiece over the front entrance. Pernu died in a quarry accident in Sequoia National Park in 1931, and as Rocklin’s quarry businesses faltered with the Great Depression, Pernu’s creditors took possession of the building. While investigating on the outside perimeters of this city hall, my psychic medium Wish Fire picked up on an entity at the doorway. With my digital recorder, I asked the entity who he was. The EVP that I captured was the name “Adolf”. Wish Fire said the entity was wearing a casual brown suit and what appeared to be a cotton brown tie. The entity walked thru the door and vanished.

The City of Rocklin bought this building from a successor owner in 1941, and it has been Rocklin’s City Hall since then. Rocklin’s old timers remember that Rocklin’s library occupied the first floor in the early 1940s with City Council meetings were on the second floor. Businessman Chung Moon arrived in California in 1912 from Hawaii and operated a market in the building from some time before 1930 until the late 1930s. His family occupied the second floor until they purchased the home of Dr. Henry Fletcher across the street. Today, the Fletcher home is the site of the Rocklin History Museum. Wish Fire picked up on a multitude of voices and believes that this is the residual voices of customers talking about the items being sold in the market. Wish Fire said it sounded like “haggling”.
