Prophecy Unfolding - The Coming Storm - G7 Peace Summit Update – 7 Year Peace Treaty

World leaders are urgently gathering to forge peace—yet the world feels anything but peaceful.

The G7 summit (June 16, 2025) recently issued a cautious joint statement on the Israel–Iran conflict. A major United Nations conference on the two-state solution was postponed due to escalating tensions. Behind closed doors, whispers of renewed peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are circulating. On the surface, it looks like hope. But beneath it all, Bible prophecy is unfolding just as God’s Word has foretold.

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:3, KJV

This moment in history is not one of resolution—it’s a moment of prophetic alignment.

Peace Without the Prince of Peace

Throughout Scripture, mankind has sought peace without acknowledging the One who gives it. The prophets cried out against false peace in their day, and their message still rings true:

“They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”
— Jeremiah 6:14, KJV

Today’s leaders hold summits, shake hands, and sign statements, but they ignore the One who holds the future. Without Jesus Christ, all peace is temporary, fragile, and doomed to break.

The 7-Year Treaty Foretold in Daniel

One of the most significant end-times prophecies comes from the book of Daniel:

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…”
— Daniel 9:27, KJV

This “one week” represents a seven-year period. The “he” is widely understood to be the Antichrist, a global political figure who will rise promising peace and unity. He will confirm a covenant with many—a treaty likely involving Israel and her enemies.

It will look like the solution the world has long awaited:

• Peace in the Middle East
• Security for Israel
• The rebuilding of the Jewish Temple

But this treaty is a trap.

“…and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease…”
— Daniel 9:27b, KJV

Halfway through the 7 years, the Antichrist will break the treaty, stop Jewish worship, and set himself up as God.

The Current Peace Summits: A Prophetic Foreshadow

The recent postponement of the UN two-state solution summit, and global calls for “peace and stability,” are not coincidences—they are prophetic tremors.

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about…”
— Zechariah 12:2, KJV

Jerusalem is once again the center of global conflict, just as the Bible predicted. The world is preparing for something monumental—perhaps even the very treaty Daniel prophesied. While this specific covenant has not yet been signed, current events may be preparing the world to receive it.

How Should We Respond?

1. Don’t Be Deceived by False Peace

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first…”
— 2 Thessalonians 2:3, KJV

The Antichrist will come with smooth words and a powerful promise of unity. We must measure all things by Scripture, not emotion or politics.

2. Keep Your Eyes on Israel

Israel is God’s timepiece. The world’s obsession with Jerusalem isn’t political—it’s prophetic.

3. Trust in the True Covenant

The only covenant that brings lasting peace is the new covenant in Christ’s blood:

“And this is the covenant that I will make with them… I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them.”
— Hebrews 10:16, KJV

Jesus Will Bring True Peace

All attempts at global peace will fail until the return of the Prince of Peace:

“Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end… The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
— Isaiah 9:7, KJV

Only Jesus Christ can—and will—bring true and eternal peace when He returns to reign from Jerusalem.

Final Thoughts

We are not to fear these developments—we are to recognize them as signs that the Bible is true and Jesus is coming soon. The 7-year treaty is real. The tribulation is near. But so is our redemption.

“And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
